Lorna M. “Cookie” Popp, 71, of Janesville died Monday, December 7, 2015 at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care surrounded by her family. Lorna was born February 16, 1944 in the Town of Wellington, Monroe, County, WI, the daughter of Glenn and Mildred (Grawin) Schultz. She grew up in Monroe County and attended school in Kendall, WI. She has been a Janesville resident for many years and was employed by Seneca Foods in Janesville for 38 years. Cookie enjoyed country music, the Packers and spending time with her neighbors and family.
Surviving are 3 children, Julie (Paul Halterman) Meske of Milton, Barry (Monica) Popp of Janesville, Dawn (Jim) Willing of Orfordville, 7 grandchildren, Alisha, Amanda (Ben), Jason, Crystal, Evan, Stephanie and Krista, 2 great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Clayton, 9 brothers and sisters, Glenn Jr. (Leailla), Ron (Linda), Keith, Kenny, Marlys (Larry), Gloria, Harold, LaDon and Shirley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha and 2 brothers, Robert and Gary.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Elroy, WI.
